Peter Lindbergh

Peter Lindbergh, born Peter Brodbeck, is a german photographer and filmmaker who was born the 23rd of November 1944.

His work is inspired by Fritz Lang's Metropolis and Eisenstein's Potemkin's Depression era images and his childhoods surroundings. HE moved to Paris in 1978 and started working for Vogue Italia. Afterwards also for the English, French, German and also American Vogue. My preferred work from him is his Black and White Photography which implements a language traditionally used in German cinema from the 1920s. His book 10 Women is worth to take a look at! It contains great work. He has also worked for Harpers Bazaar and for shot plenty of celebrities.

Man Ray's was succesfull in both the United States and Europe. He matured in the center of American modernism in the 1910s, and made Paris his home in the 1920s and 1930s, and in the 1940s he went back, spending periods in New York and Hollywood. His art comprised painting, sculpture, film, prints and poetry, and in his amazing career he worked in styles ranging from CubismFuturismDada and Surrealism. He also balanced the worlds of commercial and fine art, and came to be a renowned fashion photographer. He is perhaps most remembered for his photographs of the inter-war years, in particular the camera-less pictures he called 'Rayographs', but he always considered himself first and foremost as a painter.

Irving Penn

"Irving Penn was a grand master of American fashion photography whose "less is more" aesthetic, combined with a startling sensuality, defined a visual style that he applied to such varied subjects as designer dresses, cigarette butts and cosmetics jars, many of them now- famous photographs owned by leading art museums, He died at 92 years."
