While working on an assignment of alternative advertising I came across the pictures I posted below, which are very entertaining and creative.There are studies and statistics that show that in a day we see 400 ads, we remember 24, we like 10 and we remember 4. Therefore, in Advertising it becomes more and more important to use alternative elements. These campaigns exemplify that in our modern time everything serves as an instrument to communicate to a target customer and there is a lot more than the media where the ads are set. This counts from traditional poster, benches, etc and it expands to the use of the surroundings of these elements and even into intrusions into our daily life routines. The clue of success in advertising is to combine everyday elements or pieces , mix them and connect them in a way that no one has before. This might sound a bit odd or may not sound that creative at all, but the results have some of the best impacts. For example we have had our alphabet during a lot of time now, but with the use of internet and mails our language started to change. Someone then came to the idea to mix the elements which we had for a very long time and combine these characters to form figures: :-) , :-p, :(..... and many others. In alternative advertising this plays an important role. Many people see objects and advertising all around them, but fail to see the little details. The success in alternative advertising is in using these little details and combining them with others to achieve a great impact.
